AKM Launches AK7709VQ Multicore DSP for Automotive Applications

Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) launched a new multicore digital signal processor (DSP) that is an integral part of the Velvet Sound for Cars brand announced in May 2023. A combined suite of high-quality audio ICs, software algorithms, and tuning intended to enable a new generation of in-vehicle sound design and luxury immersive audio experiences. AKM also unveiled an advanced concept, a car sound board integrated with the AK4499EX flagship Velvet Sound Verita DAC for the ultimate audio quality.

Sonible also developed smart hardware that was adopted by many live sound engineers and was recommended by KLANG:technologies, acquired by DiGiCo in 2018.
