Picovoice Adds Voice AI SDKs for Italian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese Languages

Picovoice remains committed to becoming the developer-first voice AI platform for adding voice to anything. The introduction of its Free Tier service provided more than 10,000 developers with state-of-the-art voice recognition. The launch of Speech-to-Text engines has made Picovoice the first and only ubiquitous end-to-end edge voice AI platform. Now, Picovoice introduced voice AI SDKs for Italian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese. Now developers can train branded wake words and custom voice commands in eight languages.

Picovoice announced a new speech-to-text engine that they believe will be able to disrupt the $30B transcription market. The young Canadian company focused earlier on its own wake word (Porcupine), speech-to-text, and speech-to-intent engines. To prove its latest Speech-to-Text solution, Picovoice is offering 100 hours of free transcription per month to showcase that cloud-level accuracy can be achieved without sacrificing privacy, reliability, and affordability.

Picovoice, a young company developing voice AI on the edge with on-device speech recognition and natural language understanding software, announced a new SDK for German language. The company allows developers to create and fully test voice experiences directly on its recently launched Picovoice Console platform, before exporting models that can run on-device with minimal latency. Picovoice also announced plans to release SDKs for French, Spanish, and Japanese.
