PSB Speakers Defies Expectations with New SubSeries BP8 Powered Subwoofer

PSB Speakers launched the SubSeries BP8 Powered Subwoofer, the first in a new generation of premium subwoofers featuring Analog Devices DSP and Hypex nCore amplification, dual 8" carbon fiber cone drivers, and advanced isolation from IsoAcoustics. The 500-watt BP8 was precision engineered with proprietary drivers in a sealed enclosure to deliver breakthrough performance for any music and home theater configuration. The SubSeries BP8 is available in Satin Black and White finishes starting March 2024 at $1499 USD (MSRP).

PSB Speakers launched a new generation of its Synchrony speaker series to global markets. The latest edition of PSB’s flagship series consists of the B600 bookshelf speakers, as well as the T600 and T800 towers. Originally launched in 2021, and regarded as PSB’s most advanced speaker line to date, the Synchrony Series delivers performance and value, featuring woven carbon fibre cones, and titanium dome tweeters in low-resonance cabinets with rear-firing ports for each woofer, and integrated IsoAcoustics GAIA II isolators.

PSB Speakers, the loudspeaker company that created the “Canadian Sound”, is celebrating 50 years of delivering high value hi-fi speakers at the intersection of science-based sound reproduction and musical enjoyment. Founded in St Jacob’s, Ontario, in the summer of 1972 by classically-trained violinist and self-taught acoustics designer, Paul Barton, and a couple of his high school friends, PSB Speakers soon became a pioneer in marrying psychoacoustics research with loudspeaker design.

PSB Speakers, long renowned for excellence in loudspeaker design, announced their new flagship Synchrony Series consisting of the T600 Tower Speakers (US$7,999/pair MSRP), and the B600 Bookshelf Speakers (US$2,499/pair MSRP). The new tower and bookshelf speakers use an all-new driver platform, built-in IsoAcoustics isolators, and represent the finest application of the brand's "True to Nature" design philosophy.

PSB Speakers announced availability of its flexible CustomSound In-Room Subwoofer (CSIR SUB). The CSIR SUB, originally previewed at CEDIA 2019 in Denver, is now available in both Black and White finishes and offers several highly versatile and elegant mounting solutions to satisfy any application. It can disappear into the décor of any room, and yet is stylish enough to be a design feature on its own. When in standing mode, the integrated IsoAcoustics isolators manage energy and provide a high level of isolation for audio speakers over the entire audio spectrum.

PSB Speakers announced two new affordable subwoofers for high quality music and movie listening. The Alpha S10 ($549 U.S. MSRP) and the Alpha S8 ($449 U.S.) follow the successful launch of four Alpha models earlier this year. The new Alpha DSP Controlled Powered Subwoofers are both bass reflex designs with rear port, featuring the same 150 Watts continuous power amplifier in a compact cabinet, using drivers with polypropylene cones and rubber surrounds. The S10 and S8 will be introduced at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest (RMAF) 2019, and will be available October 2019.
