Cambridge Audio Introduces Updated DacMagic 200M with Dual ESS Sabre Converters and Native MQA Support

Cambridge Audio announced its new flagship DAC and headphone amplifier, DacMagic 200M. This new top-of-the-range DAC is the first product from Cambridge Audio to feature full MQA decoding, also offers integrated Bluetooth 5, and with Dual ESS Sabre DACs, it can handle PCM and DSD signal inputs at a higher resolution than the previous generation. The Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M will be available for purchase in February 2021 for $499 USD.

This is the world’s first home audio component using ROHM Semiconductor’s eagerly anticipated MUS-IC BD34301EKV Delta-Sigma digital-to-analog converter. The D-10x also features refinements on the LxDTM-i disc transport mechanism and a new ODNF-u analog circuit. Other highlights include full MQA decoding and MQA-CD playback.

Harman's Mark Levinson announced a major firmware update for its № 519 Audio Player, a remarkably versatile ultrahigh-end source component designed to accommodate nearly every digital audio format. The update turns the № 519 Roon Ready and with it introduces support for the Tidal music streaming service, including its Premium top tier that makes available the largest collection of MQA encoded files. Therefore, the update also makes the 519 certified with the MQA Full Decoder, which enables playback and authentication of MQA audio files and streams.
