Low-cost Threadsaver from Io Audio Technologies Protects Microphone Shock Mounts

Dallas, TX-based Io Audio Technologies has released the Threadsaver, a new, low-cost hardware product designed to extend the lifespan of any microphone shock mount. As anyone with studio and stage experience knows well, microphone shock mounts receive extensive damage due to repetitive installation and removal from mic stands. This abuse significantly strips and wears down the inner threads of the shock mount which can often be irreplaceable or costly to repair. Now, there is a solution.

Targeting podcasters, live streamers, gamers, and remote workers, Earthworks Audio is entering the growing USB space. Earthworks released ICON, a studio-quality USB microphone, and ICON PRO, a broadcast-quality XLR streaming microphone. Both products enhance the quality and experience of remote working, podcasting, gaming, and home recording. For the new ICON design, Earthworks partnered with Triad-Orbit to create a custom desktop microphone stand.

TASCAM has introduced three new TM-series condenser microphones and the new TM-AM-series microphone stands and booms, including a stand with a counterweight, a broadcast-style microphone boom, and a tripod stand. The new products have multiple applications but are ideal for podcasters and videographers. The series now includes the TM-90BM boundary condenser, the TM-95GN gooseneck electret condenser, and the TM-150SG supercardioid shotgun microphones.

Adam Hall Group promises to surprise visitors to the 2016 edition of the Prolight+Sound and Musikmesse shows in Frankfurt, introducing logical expansions of well-known series and completely new products in all its brands.
