IDUN Audio Partners with Merry Electronics to Enable Spatial Audio in New Headphone Designs

IDUN audio, the Danish embedded spatial audio technology specialists announced a strategic partnership with Taiwan-based Merry Electronics. IDUN audio will showcase three new spatial audio integrations for personal audio during CES 2025, all running on Merry's brand new reference designs for true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, a new OWS open ear clip solution, and the recently announced new dual driver headphones.

Underscoring the potential of solid-state MEMS microspeakers over-the-ear headphones, xMEMS Labs and Merry Electronics announced they will demonstrate a new production-ready reference design at CES 2025. Targeting both premium wireless over-the-ear headphones and gaming applications, Merry highlights xMEMS’ patented 2-way module architecture as a way to improve spatial audio accuracy and reduce weight for gamers, among other benefits.

Ora Graphene Audio, the Montreal-based graphene technology pioneer announced a strategic partnership with Merry Electronics, the renowned Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer, to develop the world's first commercially available GrapheneQ headphone drivers. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the adoption of graphene technologies. Both 40mm and 50mm headphone drivers powered by Ora's groundbreaking graphene audio technology will be available for pre-orders Q1 2024.

For many decades, manufacturers and speaker designers have learned to admire the quality, consistency and innovations coming from SEAS of Norway. Today, the speaker manufacturer is part of a much larger organization within Merry Electronics and the new SEAS Orbit Series features drivers developed in cooperation with the Taiwan-based company, aiming to address the requirements of OEMs looking for high-quality speakers for smart speakers, soundbars and videoconference systems.
