Martin Audio Awarded Patent for XE Monitor Waveguide

Martin Audio has extended its list of notable patents with the addition of a United Kingdom Patent for its XE stage monitor waveguide. The patent covers the use of Martin Audio’s differential dispersion coaxial drive units and the continuation of their waveguide shape to form the baffle, as seen in the XE monitors to achieve the desired HF coverage. The geometry of the static HF horn, the LF cone/moving waveguides and the static baffle combine to form a single HF horn.

Klippel Announces dB-Lab Software Updates and New Virtual Lecture 2022 Event

Klippel announced a minor software update for both the R&D and QC software of the Klippel Analyzer System, free of charge for current users of dB-Lab major version 212 or QC 7. The update introduces the new Multi-Tone Measurement (MTON) and Multi-Tone Distortion Task (MTD) measurements, updates to the Near-Field Scanner (NCS) software and new capabilities for the Poly2SCN converter utility, which converts scan data from Polytec systems toto Klippel Software formats. Parameter Estimation and Box Simulation with Speakerbench (Part 2) - Introducing Speakerbench

In the first part of this work, the authors discussed the difficulties in estimating cabinet losses using the classical Thiele-Small framework, and proposed a solution using an advanced transducer model. In this second article, the authors detail how their Speakerbench web-app offers an accurate and practical approach to this problem, and demonstrate how users will be able to easily and accurately determine the best suitable box volume for a loudspeaker system.
