InfoComm 2020 Connected Ready to Offer Online Alternative to the Real Thing

AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, will open its virtual show InfoComm 2020 Connected, taking place June 16-18. The online event and virtual show will gather thought leaders from an array of pro AV disciplines representing all corners of the globe to lead conversations on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry. The event will represent a daring initiative from AVIXA to replace the physical show, replacing it with online showcases and a stronger focus on education presentations.

This announcement probably will not come as a surprise for anyone, but unfortunately the Audio & Loudspeaker Technologies International (ALTI) association was forced to confirm the cancelation of its ALTI Expo 2020 in Las Vegas, in light of the coronavirus pandemic evolution and the decision by AVIXA to also cancel the InfoComm 2020 show. Being an event with a very strong focus on education, ALTI will now focus on promoting the programed content through online events and publications, while other alternatives for networking are under consideration.

The show management of InfoComm and the executive leadership of the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) have confirmed that the InfoComm 2020 show, scheduled for June 13‑19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is effectively and officially canceled. This is a decision that affects may companies and professionals all over the world, but clearly only surprises for the fact that it was announced when everyone had long assumed that traveling and attending large gatherings is something to look forward to do again... in 2021.

ALTI Expo 2020, was scheduled to take place June 14—15, at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV, just before InfoComm 2020. At the ALMA International Symposium & Expo (AISE) 2019, held in June 2019, the Association of Loudspeaker Manufacturing & Acoustics (ALMA) International announced its official name change to Audio & Loudspeaker Technologies International (ALTI): “Built for and by professionals in the Audio and Loudspeaker Technologies Industry to learn, to teach, to grow and to get business done!”
