Fraunhofer brings an Audi e-tron equipped with a production 3D sound system to CES 2023, to demonstrate 360 Reality Audio in-car immersive music streaming. Thanks to the fixed seating positions and acoustic characteristics of cars, all passengers can be enveloped by an immersive sound field.

Immersive sound software company DSpatial announced availability of the all-new Reality 2.0 software suite — available in four versions, VR, ONE, Studio, and Builder. This object-based production suite was specifically developed for Avid’s Pro Tools audio production software, and is now shipping in AAX format and supporting direct integration with Avid’s S6 console for mixing Dolby Atmos. The software workflow allows one single creative mix process for all delivery formats without downmixing.

Dirac Research Announces Appointments and New Investors to Accelerate Growth in VR/AR Applications and 3D Audio

Investing further in the build-out of its senior management team, Dirac Research appointed Lars Isaksson as Business Director of Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality. The Swedish company also received extra support from new investors to, in part, accelerate its growth into the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality markets. One of those investors, Jörgen Lantto, also joined Dirac’s Board of Directors. Meanwhile, the company was awarded a research grant from the Swedish government.
