Sony Launches New MDR-M1 Closed Monitor Professional Headphones

Sony launched new reference closed monitor headphones for creators, extending the solid reputation of the Japanese brand in the professional market. The product of an extensive development process, the new Sony MDR-M1 headphones deliver the ultra-wideband playback that is required to work with high-resolution audio recordings, including for mixing and mastering. Designed for the studio with professional standards, the Sony MDR-M1 ensure optimized passive isolation to reproduce detailed sound and for use in a wide range of music production workflows.

The announcement comes directly from Japan and the brand's Asian and Pacific websites, following the Yamaha Design Laboratory preview unveiled in 2020 to promote the new headphones created by lead designers Masafumi Futo and Yoshinobu Terazaki. Now, Yamaha confirmed the flagship and truly unique YH-L700A headphones will be available August 2021, introducing an advanced ANC implementation with a series of smart optimizations.

Sony Electronics announced the WH-1000XM4 – the fourth-generation noise-canceling headphones from Sony's 1000X family. The popular wireless over-ear model shows a similar design to the previous WH-1000XM3, with subtle but effective changes in materials providing longer comfort and lighter weight. But the main improvement relies on Sony's latest processing, sensors and a new Bluetooth 5 SoC, providing the WH-1000XM4 with additional smart features that personalize music, improve noise cancelation and adjust ambient sound automatically.

Now OPPO announces the launching of the HA-2 portable hi-res headphone amplifier and DAC, also previewing its new PM-3 affordable Planar headphones.

At the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas there were plenty of new headphones, earphones and earbuds, including many new wireless models.
