Lenbrook International and OraStream Announce BluOS Integration Agreement

Lenbrook International, owner of high fidelity audio brands NAD Electronics, PSB Speakers, and Bluesound, announced a North American collaboration with OraStream, the high-resolution audio streaming platform. The agreement will allow OraStream’s customers – all high-quality music content providers – unique access to a fast-growing ecosystem of high-resolution music streaming users through “BluOS enabled” products from brands like NAD Electronics, Bluesound, and DALI Loudspeakers.

Lenbrook International announced that its BluOS Hi-Res Distributed Audio platform, will support Google Voice Assistant through Actions On Google. BluOS already supports Amazon Alexa voice control and Apple Siri with AirPlay 2 compatible products. Users of BluOS Enabled products from Bluesound, NAD Electronics, and DALI Speakers, will be prompted to update their players on or around October 8, 2019, to add hands-free control of their music from any Google Home device.

Bluesound introduced its new Pulse Soundbar at CEDIA 2016 and will be showcasing it at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2016 in Denver (7-9 October). This is the world’s first soundbar to support Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) high-resolution audio, joining Bluesound’s family of MQA-ready wireless Pulse speakers and Node players, enabling wireless hi-resolution music streaming to any room in the home.

NAD Electronics announced that MQA music will be supported on select BluOS-enabled NAD components, including its recently expanded Master Series. The Latest BluOS firmware will power select high performance NAD models with MQA for studio quality music streams in the home. On the announcement, the company says: “NAD is proud to partner with MQA to introduce high-end audio consumers to this revolutionary end-to-end technology that captures and delivers master quality audio in a file that’s small enough to stream or download.”

For NAD Electronics, the 2016 High End show, in Munich, Germany was all about the excitement of high-performance and high resolution audio. Complementing the five existing Master Series components, NAD announced two new additions, the M32 Direct Digital Amplifier and M50.2 Digital Music Player, both running the brand’s dedicated BluOS operating system with support for popular music services and High Resolution Audio.
