Denon Earbuds to Deliver Personalized Listening Featuring Nura’s Self-Learning Technology

Denon has announced that it is bringing the hearing profile technology from Australian headphone company Nura, into the brand’s product pipeline. In adding Nura’s otoacoustic emission measuring technology to Denon products, the Sound United brand, now owned by Masimo, will be able to add personalized sound, based on hearing measurements of each ear, processed on the device to create a unique user listening profile..

Weiss Engineering launched a firmware update for its Weiss DAC502 and DAC501, D/A converters with DSP, and the dedicated DSP501 and DSP502 DSP and network renderer models. With that update, unveiled in July 2021, the Swiss company introduced advanced Headphone EQ profiles for selected Audeze models. The Californian headphone manufacturer now recommends it as "the perfect combination for mastering engineers and producers."

After Sonarworks introduced the SoundID concept at CES 2020, the expectations couldn't be any higher. After all, Sonarworks is the company behind the Reference Studio and Reference Headphone software used extensively by musicians, producers and studio engineers to generate a consistent reference monitoring environment. By anticipating the launch of its new SoundID Listen app for Mac and Windows, Sonarworks is reaching out to consumers with a solid technology proposition for personalized sound on headphones. Headphones manufacturer Audeze has partnered with Embody, an audio lifestyle technology startup dedicated to personalization and immersive sound applications, located in San Mateo, California, with satellite offices in Tokyo and Vancouver. The collaboration between the two companies already resulted in the launch of the Reveal+ personalized spatial plugin for Audeze headphones and the corresponding Aural Map app, which allows creating personal HRTF profiles generated from images of the ear, captured with a smartphone.

European audio software developer Sonarworks announced the addition of more than ten new headphone models to its consumer headphone calibration software platform, True-Fi. The new headphone profiles, which have been meticulously measured and incorporated as a complimentary software upgrade for existing True-Fi users, include popular models from Audio Technica, beyerdynamuc, Sennheiser, Sony, Plantronics and even the Bose QuietComfort 35 II.
