Acconeer and Imagimob Combine Radar Technology and Edge AI for Gesture Control Applications

By combining Edge AI software from Imagimob, a company specializing in artificial intelligence development, with Pulsed Coherent Radar technology from Acconeer, the radar sensor specialists, the two Swedish companies have created an innovative platform for gesture control that is perfect for consumer electronics products. Scheduled to be demonstrated at CES 2020 (January 7-10) in Las Vegas, the solution will be implemented for application with wireless headphones, trained to recognize five hand gestures with high accuracy and close to zero latency.

Among the many new speaker designs that deserve a close look at CES 2019 (January 8-11) there is one that is the first product ever from a startup company, 0W1 Audio, and was already awarded a CES 2019 Innovation Awards nomination on the Wireless Devices, Accessories and Services category. The 0W1 Smart HiFi Audio Speaker is described as "the first truly High-End Connected Portable Audio system," and is said to offer "much more than just another wireless speaker," focusing on the emotional side of the hi-fidelity experience.
