2021 TECnology Hall of Fame Recognizes the Work of Audio Pioneers

While audioXpress did highlight already the 36th Annual NAMM Creative and Technical TEC Awards when those were announced, because there was no actually NAMM show this year (and no actual TEC Award ceremony) we still needed to confirm the 2021 TECnology Hall of Fame Inductees. These are awards also confirmed every year to honor and recognize audio products and innovations that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of audio technology.

TECnology Hall of Fame founder George Petersen and the NAMM TEC Committee have announced seven defining audio products and innovations as the newest entrants to the prestigious TECnology Hall of Fame (TECHOF). The designations, which were voted on by a panel of audio experts, honors audio products and innovations that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of audio technology and production.

Eight culturally-significant audio inventions will be inducted to the TECnology Hall of Fame (THOF), it was announced today by THOF Founder, George Petersen. The inventions span the 1940s through today and will be officially named during a ceremony held at The 2019 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California on Saturday, January 26. The event will be presented by the NAMM Museum of Making Music. Robert Moog’s classic synth, the Anechoic Chamber from Leo Beranek, and many other historic products and inventions are among the eight inductees.
