Waves Audio Introduces New eMotion LV1 Classic Integrated Live Mixing System

Waves Audio is shaking up the industry with the presentation of the eMotion LV1 Classic. Beyond the classic digital console form factor and the proven quality of the Waves LV1 mix engine, is a mixing solution with 64 stereo channels and 44 stereo buses, 16 onboard Waves Signature Preamps, and powerful Waves processors, all integrated. And with several stageboxes and hardware interface options, the eMotion LV1 Classic packs more live mixing power in a compact console than ever before.

Meeting the requirements for more complex and higher performance embedded systems, Microchip Technology has launched its new dsPIC33A Core family of Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs). The new DSCs feature a 32-bit architecture with a double-precision floating-point unit and DSP engine for faster computation in time-critical applications, ideal for fast-charging, wireless charging, and sensing systems such as those required for adaptive audio applications.

Inspired by the classic Urei rotary mixers, standard in NYC clubs and still highly appreciated by today's DJs, the design team responsible for Pioneer DJ - now operating as AlphaTheta, an independent company - revealed a new long-awaited project. The Euphonia Professional 4-channel rotary mixer combines high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters, 96kHz/64-bit floating point mixing processing core, with a Rupert Neve Designs analog transformer, USB-C audio interface, and many innovations on the creative controls.

Cadence Design Systems unveiled the Cadence Tensilica FloatingPoint DSP family, optimized for power, performance and area (PPA). The new DSP IP cores extend from small, ultra-low power to very high performance and are well-suited for a broad array of applications, from energy-efficient solutions for battery powered devices to artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), sensor fusion, object tracking and augmented reality applications in the mobile, automotive, and consumer markets.
