Bose Redefines Air Conduction with Ultra Open Earbuds

The result of an intense research effort to achieve the most effective approach for an open ear design, Bose just introduced the all-new Ultra Open Earbuds, a completely new form-factor. Described as "a breakthrough audio wearable" the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are designed to let users hear the world while still enjoying music. The approach is to use air conduction to feed audio to the inside of the ear, while resting on the lower ear. OpenAudio delivers the air conduction, while signal processing adds Bose Immersive Audio to enhance the experience.

V-MODA the lifestyle headphone company that is now part of Roland, announced the S-80, an all-new Bluetooth model, that also features a unique two-way design for use as a personal speaker system around-the-neck. The all-wireless new on-ear headphones design was engineered to function as a fashion accessory that users will not only use around-the-neck when not listening, but actually for being used as a speaker neckband - or can we call it neckphones?

YEVO Labs, a Stockholm-based innovation lab born from the creators of Happy Plugs, announced availability of its first generation YEVO 1 back in May 2017. Now, the company has teamed up with colette in Paris for a limited edition collaboration inspired by the high fashion boutique’s signature colette blue color. The exclusive YEVO x colette smart true wireless headphones will be available on September 26, sold exclusively in the colette store on 213 Rue Saint Honoré in Paris.

In 2015, Roland announced a collaboration with lifestyle and DJ brand V-MODA, targeting fashion-conscious DJs and musicians with the M-100 AIRA headphones, combining the DJ-acclaimed V-MODA Crossfade M-100 over-ear headphones with the brand’s own AIRA range of retro-inspired electronic musical instruments. The alliance was apparently a success because Roland has decided to acquire a majority stake in V-MODA.

Designed and built by lifestyle and DJ brand V-MODA in collaboration with Roland, targeting fashion-conscious DJs pretending to be musicians by turning knobs, the new M-100 AIRA headphones combine the DJ-acclaimed V-MODA Crossfade M-100 over-ear headphones with the AIRA logo customized on each shield, along with AIRA-green chevrons on the headband.
