The Raspberry Pi Foundation Launches Raspberry Pi 3

All over the world, electronics and computer programming enthusiasts are celebrating the launch of the new Raspberry Pi 3 platform, the first with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, keeping with the tradition of an affordable computer for all, at just $35! The Raspberry Pi 3 features a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core CPU, giving about 10x the performance of a Raspberry Pi 1.

A fresh Raspberry Pi was announced by the Raspberry Pi foundation. The new single board computer brings with it several welcomed improvements, including a dedicated low-noise power supply which effectively improves the audio circuit. The new Raspberry Pi Model B+ also expands GPIO pins and now has 4 USB 2.0 ports.

ARM announced a new digital signal processing (DSP) ‘Lab-in-a-Box’ (LiB) solution to help boost practical skills development and the creation of new ARM-based audio systems, using Cortex-M4-based microcontroller boards by STMicroelectronics and audio cards from Wolfson Microelectronics and Farnell element14.
