Blackmagic Design Announces DaVinci Resolve 18.5 Introducing Major AI-Based Tools

Blackmagic Design announces DaVinci Resolve 18.5, a major new update to its leading software that combines non-linear editing of audio and video, color correction, the complete Fairlight audio suite, and Fusion effects and composition. The update introduces speech to text editing, automatic subtitling, and AI audio classification. On the audio front, DaVinci Resolve 18.5 adds support for edit and mix groups, improved elastic wave pitch handling, enhanced Dolby Atmos, improved metering, multiple voice isolation improvements, third party Rewire integration, and much more.

Avid announced updates to its Pro Tools software that offer significant performance and processing improvements through fully qualified native Apple Silicon support, new options for manipulating audio pitch and time, and new creative tools for music makers. The release provides music creators with Pro Tools Sonic Drop, a content subscription program that delivers new samples, loops and instrument presets.
