EAW Unveils Compact and Powerful SM12 Stage Monitor

Although musicians and performers increasingly use in-ear monitors, high-quality stage monitors are still a requirement whenever sound is actually needed on stage. Unfortunately, professional audio manufacturers have been neglecting the product category. Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) doesn't and introduced its latest innovation, the SM12 Stage Monitor. Inspired by the renowned Microwedge acoustic design, the new SM12 expands EAW's catalog of stage monitors with a high performance, flexible option.

Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) has announced its new MKC Series 2-Way Coaxial Loudspeakers, joining the brand's integration solutions for small and media spaces. Available in four models — MKC50, MKC60, MKC80 and MKC120 — the new speaker family delivers consistent tonality for a variety of applications, even at higher output levels. Combined with the companion UXA4401 and UXA4403 amps and accessories, the MKC series speakers are a flexible tool to help audio designers provide exceptional sound for any venue.

Following a soft presentation in March 2022, Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) will be showcasing its AC6 2-Way Full Range ADAPTive Column Loudspeaker at the 2022 NAMM and InfoComm shows. The latest addition to the brand’s renowned ADAPTive line, the AC6 has a frequency response from 65Hz to 20KHz and a max SPL of 143dB, delivering a versatile, low profile professional solution with top audio performance from a loudspeaker that blends into the installation aesthetics.

Eastern Acoustic Works continues to announce changes following its move away from Loud and becoming part of RCF Group, and the company now announces that John Mills has joined the company as a Senior Applications Engineer. A 25-year industry veteran, Mills most recently served as vice president of Nashville's Morris Light & Sound, where he worked for the past eight years.

Having celebrated its 40th birthday in 2018, Eastern Acoustic Works gave itself a special birthday present, convincing EAW cofounder and former Vice President of Strategic Engineering Kenton Forsythe to rejoin the company. Under the ownership of RCF Group, Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) operates independently and continues to manufacture and assemble all built-to-order and higher-end products at its headquarters in Whitinsville, MA, USA.

The news was out for a while now, but now it's official. Loud Audio, the parent company of the Mackie brand, has concluded the sale of Eastern Acoustic Works to RCF Group with its headquarters in Reggio Emilia, Italy. LOUD's management has been gradually pulling apart the businesses it acquired in 2017. Now, it was EAW's time. With this acquisition, RCF gains a stronger foothold in the North-American market, while also gaining access to one of the strongest sound reinforcement technology portfolios in the industry.
