KEF Introduces New Uni-Core Driver Technology to Create Maximum Bass in Minimum Space

KEF has unveiled a brand new driver technology called Uni-Core, which delivers a completely new take on speaker and subwoofer design. This latest speaker design approach uses two dual force-cancelling drivers with concentrically arranged, overlapping voice coils, driven by a single motor. This redefines size versus performance by enabling high-level performance while reducing the subwoofer or speaker cabinet volume significantly.

Knowles Corporation, the global supplier of advanced micro-acoustic, audio processing, and precision device solutions, announced that Black Shark, a premium mobile gaming brand, has selected its balanced armature drivers for a new, dual driver wireless gaming headphone. The new Black Shark Ophidian combines a Knowles balanced armature driver for exceptionally clear vocals and treble with a dynamic speaker for powerful bass.

RevoNext, a company established in 2015 by a Swedish designer and a team of audio engineers from California with many years of experience in consumer products, and manufacturing in China, announced the availability of its NEX202 dual driver in-ear earphones. With a design that combines a 12 mm titanium composite diaphragm dynamic driver with a balanced armature for the high-frequencies, the new NEX2020 deliver on sound quality and excellent value, for just $49.99.

1MORE announced the addition of two new headphones to its award-winning line of premium headphones, including its first true wireless model and first Bluetooth ANC headphones. The 1MORE Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones (Stylish TWS) and the Dual Driver BT ANC In-Ear Headphones (BT ANC) will round out the new wireless offerings from the Chinese company, and will be introduced at the CES 2019 show (January 8-11). These two new models are not exactly the most advanced in the market, but its price/performance ratio should once again surprise.

Artison, the Nevada-based loudspeaker manufacturer launched its first crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter, to raise money to build and market a small high-performance DSP subwoofer and to promote the product to the average person. The project’s funding goal was not reached, achieving only $38,729 of the pledged goal of $250,000. Still, probably the marketing goals were achieved.
