Powersoft Expands DSP+ Amplifier Range with AES67 Native Models

Powersoft has further enhanced its amplifier product range oriented towards fixed installations by introducing AES67-compatible versions of its popular Duecanali and Quattrocanali amplifier platforms. The new models, called Duecanali DSP+ and Quattrocanali DSP+, are able to receive audio-over-IP (AoIP) streams from AES67-capable networked sources for increased interoperability across different systems.

d&b audiotechnik used the opportunity to exhibit once again in a major trade show such as ISE 2022 to display its extended rage of installation, EN 54 compliant solutions, together with all-new technologies. At the Barcelona show, the German manufacturer introduced its new 5D amplifier with integrated audio networking, an installation-focused compact design. The 5D is a four channel DSP amplifier featuring flexible output power sharing — ideal to power installations with large numbers of smaller speakers.

NAD Electronics announced an all-new advanced amplifier targeted at high performance distributed audio systems. The CI 8-120 DSP uses a customized version of the proven Hypex UcD output stage and is capable of delivering massive power with extremely low distortion and noise in the audible range. Featured at CEDIA 2019, the networked controlled CI 8-120 DSP ($2999 U.S. MSRP) delivers 8 x 120 watts per channel with unique features and will be available in November.
