StormAudio Launches Core 16+ Compact Immersive Audio Processor

StormAudio, the manufacturer of high-performance audio processors and power amplifiers for the home theater market, has announced the release of the Core 16+, an enhanced version of its acclaimed Core 16 processor. The Core 16+ introduces expanded channel capability and includes their most powerful advanced features as standard. That includes the latest version of Dirac Live, with Active Room Treatment.

Dirac announced that its Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART) solution, introduced in 2023, will be made available in select Denon and Marantz devices beginning in the second half of 2025. According to the Swedish digital audio processing company, the Denon and Marantz AVRs that currently already support Dirac Live Bass Control will be able to unlock the next-generation room correction capabilities.

Evoking the convergence of power and performance, StormAudio introduced its first 20-channel receiver with 16 channels of amplification, using the latest Edge amplification modules developed by ICEpower. Built upon the company's ISP Elite MK3 platform, the Immersive Sound Receiver Fusion 20 adds a 20-channels processor that delivers low levels of noise and distortion, rated for 150W (8 ohms) per channel and 500W (8 ohms) when bridged.

StormAudio is inviting all attendees to an historical moment for the company at CEDIA Expo 2023. StormAudio will debut a complete immersive multichannel installation connected using the AES67 Audio-over-IP (AoIP) standard and using exclusively digital signals throughout. With six different demonstrations at the Denver show, StormAudio will also be updating its range of immersive sound processors with demonstrations of the latest receiver Fusion 20 and the ISP Evo sound processor.

Dirac has teamed up StormAudio and Perlisten to showcase the ultimate immersive home theater demonstration. Attendees at the High End Munich show, which runs from May 18-21, will have the opportunity to experience the possibilities of the new Dirac Live Active Room Treatment software with StormAudio’s powerful ISP Elite MK3 Immersive Sound Processor, played through a THX Certified Dominus home theater-quality Perlisten 11.7.6 surround sound system.

Swedish digital audio pioneer Dirac announced the debut of Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, the latest in its family of award-winning Dirac Live features designed to address bass resonance and room decay time to produce a cleaner, tighter bass experience than ever before possible. Dirac Live Active Room Treatment will debut in all StormAudio AVRs through a Spring 2023 firmware update.
