Meyer Sound Acquires Jonathan Deans' Theater Sound Solutions Business

Meyer Sound announced the acquisition of a company called Audio Rhapsody (not to be confused with high-end audio equipment supplier Rhapsody.Audio), which is in fact a business founded by acclaimed sound designer Jonathan Deans of Broadway and Las Vegas fame. With the acquisition, Meyer Sound strengthens its position in theater sound solutions, utilizing Deans’ expertise to develop software solutions to expand the company’s portfolio of integrated digital systems.

AVIXA (the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) announced new initiatives, content program and exhibition for InfoComm 2018, which returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center June 2-8, 2018. The show will kick off on June 5, with the opening reception at OMNIA Nightclub Las Vegas. The AV Tech Tours will take visitors to tech marvels, such as the nightclubs at MGM and Aria. There are more than 80 new education sessions, training, and workshops, from the popular Emerging Trends Day to the new Integrated Life Day.

The next Integrated Systems Europe will take place from 7-10 February 2017, the first edition of the world’s largest AV and systems integration show to take place at the RAI Amsterdam Exhibition Centre following a series of structural changes to the market leading exhibition and conference venue. For 2017, the RAI Amsterdam will introduce an additional hall and pavilion along with a new hall numbering system. The show continues to demonstrate growth on all fronts.
