Qualcomm Makes World’s First MulteFire Over-the-Air Connection
MulteFire was one of the buzzwords at the Mobile World Congress 2016, with the MulteFire Alliance promoted by Ericsson, Nokia, Intel and Qualcomm. Now, Qualcomm announced the world’s first over-the-air MulteFire connection, successfully demonstrating continued progress in MulteFire commercial viability as a new connectivity option, by combining the enhanced performance of LTE/5G networks with the deployment simplicity of unlicensed spectrum like WiFi.
