AVIXA Forecasts Global Pro-AV Industry Will Reach $325 Billion in 2024

The global professional audiovisual industry will grow to more than $325 billion in 2024, from $247 billion in 2019, according to updated forecasts in the new 2019 AV Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) Global Summary produced by AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association. Overall, the demand for pro-AV products and services is driven by rising GDP across much of the globe because the pro-AV industry provides solutions to nearly all facets of the economy.

InfoComm 2019 Consolidates Its Position as the Leading Event for the AV Industry in North America

By the show’s end, InfoComm 2019 counted 44,129 registered attendees, of which 37 percent were attending for the first time and 18 percent traveled to the show from 117 countries outside the U.S. This is still a positive trend, considering that InfoComm 2018 set a new record for attendance in Las Vegas, when the trade show attracted nearly 43,000 registered attendees, and the fact that the previous edition of InfoComm in Orlando had logged 44,077 registered attendees (a 13% growth compared to 2015, also in Orlando).

Lectrosonics' company President Gordon Moore, CTS, has been honored with the Fred Dixon Service in Education Award presented by AVIXA for his outstanding contributions to education in the AV industry. The award was presented in a ceremony on InfoComm 2019’s Center Stage at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando on Wednesday, June 12. Other seven 2019 AVIXA award recipients highlighted important contributions made by industry individuals to the science of AV.
