Shure Announces Agreement to Acquire Audio Listening and Monitoring Software Company Wavemark Oy

Shure has reached an agreement to acquire Ab Wavemark Oy, a software company that developed products for theater, film, TV, broadcast, and content streaming applications. The acquisition will expand Shure’s professional audio software portfolio. The company from Finland gained recognition for its Wavetool audio monitoring software that detects and solves sound level and RF issues, while its WTAutoMixer is a multichannel gainsharing automatic mixer plug-in with a built-in leveler, compatible with most DAWs.

In 2018 Dan Dugan - inventor of the automatic microphone mixer - is celebrating his 50th year in business, his 75th birthday and his 35th year of his laboratory on Napoleon Street, San Francisco.
