Listen Releases Free Automated Test Sequence for AES75-2002 Measurements

Listen is the first test and measurement company to automate measuring loudspeakers to the new AES75-2022 (M-Noise) standard for Maximum SPL. This removes subjectivity, increases reliability, and saves time. The test sequence, developed for use within the company’s popular SoundCheck audio test and measurement system, is available free of charge on Listen’s website. And Listen is now offering the new Portland Tool & Die MDT-4000 audio measurement turntable, fully controllable from within SoundCheck.

The much anticipated SoundCheck 20 audio test software update is now released, and Listen is offering incentives to help users upgrade to the latest version.​​​​​ The motivations to upgrade are many, starting with the fact that SoundCheck 20 introduces Listen’s state-of-the-art perceptual distortion algorithm for end-of-line testing – Enhanced Perceptual Rub & Buzz. SoundCheck 20 also includes a host of new features for multichannel and communications testing.

Recognizing that working from home, away from the audio lab, is restrictive for many audio engineers, the support team at Listen, Inc. has produced a series of videos outlining some of the things that users can do using SoundCheck without all their usual test hardware, enabling developers and audio engineers to be productive when working from home.
