Synopsys announced that DSP Group selected Synopsys DesignWare ARC EM5D Processor IP for its high-efficiency control and signal processing capabilities to enable development of its DBMC2-TWS advanced adaptive processing audio codec for true wireless stereo (TWS) headsets. To dynamically configure settings and filter parameters on-the-fly, the DBMC2-TWS integrates an ARC EM5D processor, abundant internal memory and numerous digital interfaces.

NXP Semiconductors announced availability of its voice solution, SLN-LOCAL-IOT, a fully integrated development platform for offline voice control. The solution consists of a full hardware module design and associated software required to implement far-field voice control with a customizable wake word and local commands. NXP also announced market availability of the i.MX RT600 crossover microcontroller (MCU) family, ideal for ultra-low power audio and voice applications.

Linear Systems has reintroduced its most popular part, the LSK389, which the Silicon Valley company calls the industry’s first 100% noise tested, ultra-low noise (en = 1.3nV/√Hz (typ), f = 1.0kHz and NBW = 1.0Hz), monolithic dual, n-channel JFET. New test capability screens to a billionth of a volt (nV/√Hz) of noise now ensures that all LSK389s devices produce no burst (RTN or popcorn) noise and meet or exceed 1/f and broadband noise specifications.

TDK Introduces New Varistors with ESD and EMI Combined Protection for Audio Equipment

TDK Corporation has expanded its lineup of chip varistors with the new AVRF101U6R8KT242 for audio equipment, which offers both ESD and EMI protection. This new product is intended for audio equipment that uses wireless communications in the 2.4 GHz band. Thanks to optimization of its capacitance of 6.8 pF, the multilayer component features high attenuation at this frequency and is able to effectively suppress the generated TDMA noise and thus improve receiver sensitivity.
