AntennaWare and Silicon Labs Join Forces to Address Connectivity Issues in the Wireless Wearables Market

AntennaWare has joined the Silicon Labs technology partner program that will address the wireless performance bottlenecks for on- or near-body wireless wearables in Bluetooth markets. The partnership between the innovative antenna technology company and the large semiconductor company will enable the design of more efficient wearable devices for connected healthcare, audio, and sports applications using AntennaWare's BodyWave antenna technology.

AntennaWare Ltd, specialists in solving body-blocking problems normally associated with close-range RF designs, has been awarded a European Patent which is expected to have important implications for enabling implantable devices within the human body. The new multi-mode antenna from AntennaWare enables reliable and continuous communications even in next-generation medical applications or from sensors inside obstructed structures.

The original Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 & Pi5 noise cancelling earbuds, launched in April 2021, marked the British audio brand’s first entry into the true wireless category.
