WiSA Technologies Reports Progress in Industry Support for WiSA E

WiSA Technologies, the multichannel wireless audio technology pioneer, announced the integration of WiSA E software technology onto the Amlogic S905X4 application processor. This advanced embedded SoC design is ideal for the OTT/IP streaming Set-Top Box market, and its availability follows the announcement that WiSA just confirmed the first WiSA E software licensing with a major global TV brand.

DSP Concepts announced its collaboration with South Korea telecom KT Corporation to bring smart voice control to KT's latest set-top box, the Genie TV All-in-One Soundbar. This 2023 Red Dot Product Design winning-product features the GiGA Genie AI voice assistant, combined with powerful sound tuning features. With the Genie TV, KT delivers premium immersive sound combined with precision far-field voice recognition enabled with TalkTo from DSP Concepts.

WiSA Technologies announced a licensing program for its high-quality, multichannel wireless WiSA E software. Expanding from its original, hardware-based module approach, the new software licensing program is targeted towards HDTV platforms and speaker manufacturers. WiSA E is an interoperable audio software/IP solution designed for wireless sound technology on TV and Wi-Fi SoC platforms, enabling built-in transmission capabilities of high-quality multichannel audio streams.
