Atlona and Symetrix to Emphasize Audio over IP Interoperability in Upcoming Webinar

Following the announcement of their strategic alliance at InfoComm 2018, Atlona and Symetrix will take the first steps of a co-education initiative with a webinar. Scheduled from 10:30-11am on September 20, “Systems Design for Networked Audio” will outline the essentials of managing AES67 and Dante audio in a networked AV ecosystem, along with specifics on applying Atlona and Symetrix solutions to strengthen the overall infrastructure.

Symetrix, the manufacturer of digital audio products for the installed sound market, announced its Radius NX 4x4 and Radius NX 12x8 1U rack-mount audio signal processors. Each model supports 128 (64x64) channels of redundant Dante network audio, including ultra-low-noise preamps with digitally controlled 3 dB gain steps. All that is needed for large networked audio fixed installations, including optional card expansions and optional AEC coprocessors for up to 16 channels of wide-band acoustic echo cancelling.

Symetrix announced its new range of Dante I/O devices, including the Symetrix xIn 4 audio input expander, xOut 4 audio output expander and xIO 4x4 audio input/output expander, designed to deliver increased system flexibility to the integration market, increasingly adopting Audinate’s audio networking technology.

The latest version of Symetrix’ established DSP system - the new SymNet Radius 12x8 EX - includes an expansion card slot to increase the total audio input/output count to 24 in the same 1U format. A new 2 Line VoIP Interface Card for Symetrix SymNet Edge, Radius 12x8 EX and Radius AEC systems is ideal for conferencing, paging, remote monitoring and broadcast applications.

Symetrix has released SymNet Composer 3.0. The latest version of Symetrix’ open architecture design software for SymNet DSPs builds on the native support of Audinate’s Dante media networking technology for select third-party devices in earlier releases, and will now support products from Shure and Audio-Technica.

Sound reinforcement and DSP specialist, Stewart Audio has announced a family of four low-wattage, compact and affordable Dante-enabled amplifiers, bringing audio networking benefits to installations requiring lower channel counts for local amplification.
