GGNTKT Model S1 Self-Powered In-Wall Loudspeaker for Full Multichannel Immersion and Dynamics

GGNTKT (the name stands for "Gegentakt" or push-pull) is an interesting new loudspeaker company with a refreshing attitude towards high-end audio. The company's new product, the Model S1, is a self-powered, in-wall, 2-way custom installation design for home theaters. The GGNTKT Model S1 is a high output design for front/LCR and surround channels of small to medium-sized home theaters and professional multichannel monitoring in studio facilities.

Universal Audio announced UAD-2 Live Rack, a robust 16-channel MADI effects processor that allows live sound engineers to craft studio-quality mixes using Realtime UAD Processing and UAD plug-ins — including Antares Auto-Tune Realtime, genuine Teletronix LA‑2A and 1176 compressors, Pultec EQs, and more — right out of the box. Built to withstand the rigors of live sound, users can chain up to four UAD-2 Live Rack units for up to 64 channels of MADI signal processing.

DSP Concepts has announced multicore support for its Audio Weaver modular programming software. Audio Weaver can now operate in heterogeneous SoC (System on a Chip) devices that employ multiple cores of different types. The new capability extends Audio Weaver’s user-friendly programming environment into more applications, including complex signal processing chains in automotive environments.

Analog Devices announced the addition of ADSP-SC57x and ADSP-2157x processors to its growing series of single-chip multicore SHARC processors. By combining ADI’s SHARC technology with ARM Cortex-A5 system control capability, the series provides a high performance, low cost solution for complex applications such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X or active noise cancellation with performance headroom remaining for further audio post-processing. Target applications include automotive premium audio, consumer and pro-audio, and industrial systems that require high floating-point performance.

Shipping early October and compatible with Thunderbolt-equipped Macs, new Universal Audio’s Satellite QUAD and OCTO DSP accelerators offer improved performance at higher sample rates and reduced plug-in latency versus FireWire. Also available are the UAD-2 OCTO PCIe Ultimate 3 cards with dozens of UA-developed UAD Powered Plug-Ins.
