NAMM (The National Association of Music Merchants), the largest global not-for-profit music trade organization, has announced its initial lineup of events and exhibits for The 2025 NAMM Show, taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center January 21–25, with events beginning on Tuesday, January 21. Exhibits start January 23, creating nonstop energy through late Saturday evening, January 25, 2025. Major brands are back in full force to NAMM Show!

NAMM (The National Association of Music Merchants), the largest global not-for-profit music trade organization, has announced Julia Rubio as the new NAMM Foundation executive director to help fulfill its mission of strengthening the music products industry and promoting the pleasures and benefits of making music. Julia Rubio will report directly to NAMM President and CEO, and NAMM Foundation President, John Mlynczak.

More than fifty prominent music companies, associations, and institutions globally have added their support to the “Principles for Music Creation with AI” manifesto. Introduced by Roland Corporation and Universal Music Group (UMG) in March 2024, these Principles are a series of clarifying statements relating to the responsible use of AI in music creation, aiming to protect the essence of music — its human spirit. Newly supporting organizations include NAMM, Native Instruments, Focusrite, Waves, LANDR, Eventide, GPU Audio, and many more.

NAMM Announces NAMM Show's Return to Anaheim... in June 2022

As more and more trade shows scheduled for the last quarter of 2021 are being cancelled (or should be), the industry is moving on and starting to plan for 2022. The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) announced that The NAMM Show, the annual “family reunion” of the global music, sound, and entertainment technology industry, will reconvene in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center on June 3–5, 2022.

The TEC Awards committee and the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) have announced the nominees across the 22 Technical Achievement and seven Creative Achievement TEC Award categories. The annual TEC Awards recognizes and celebrates the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind the sound of recordings, live performances, films, television, video games, and multi-media. The TEC Awards creators and innovators will be honored during Believe in Music Week, January 2021.

The NAMM TEC Awards are the pro-audio and musical instrument industries’ most prestigious awards, celebrating the spirit of innovation and honoring best-in-class products in the pro-audio community. A panel comprised of leaders in the audio and production industries carefully evaluated each candidate product before selecting the entries. Nominees were announced at last week’s Summer NAMM, and winners will be announced during the annual TEC Awards ceremony during the 2020 NAMM Show on January 18, 2020.

The 35th NAMM TEC Awards Announces Call for Entries

Fresh off a multitude of pro audio product debuts, new innovations and a celebration of technical and creative achievements, the NAMM TEC Awards council has announced a call for entries to be honored at The 35th annual NAMM TEC Awards. Companies are encouraged to enter their products and/or projects in one of 23 Technical Achievement and eight Creative Achievement categories to be considered for recognition.
