Crowdfunding platforms are helping promote new concepts that companies would normally never consider promoting for themselves (for multiple reasons).

Hush, successfully funded on Kickstarter, is the world’s first set of connected earplugs that wirelessly connects to a smartphone, to help people live and sleep when it’s noisy. Hush combines noise-masking earplugs with an app to isolate users from distractions that may be keeping them from sleeping, while still letting key notifications in.

An interesting project was launched recently on Kickstarter, aiming to build the world’s first wireless 3D printed custom-fit earbuds. OwnPhones intends also to perfect noise-filtering technology and achieve high-quality wireless streaming to battery-operated earbuds.
