InfoComm Releases AV Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis for the Americas

InfoComm International, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide, has released its 2017 AV Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) report for the Americas, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, featuring fresh market insights and sales forecasts through 2022 for AV products, services, and solutions.

InfoComm, is North America's largest audio-visual trade show, and the 2017 edition attracted more than 40,000 visitors for the first time in its history. That's 13% more than the last time it was held in Orlando, in 2015, and 14% more than InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. As the InfoComm International Association confirmed immediately following its InfoComm 2017 event, the show was another record-breaking moment for this thriving sector, which now combines much more than AV commercial integration.

InfoComm International, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide, announced the release of the updated standard Audio Coverage Uniformity (ACU) in Listener Areas (ANSI/INFOCOMM A102.01:2017). With advancements in technology and continual audio coverage problems, InfoComm considered it was important to produce an updated version of the ACU standard, which was first released in 2009.

InfoComm International will return to Orlando June 10-16 (exhibits: June 14-16) for another InfoComm Show with a very strong schedule of conferences, education sessions, and special event partnerships, making it a unique gathering for the AV industry in the United States. Following the momentum last year in Las Vegas, which attracted a record 1,000 exhibitors, including 211 new exhibitors, the organization expects the 2017 edition to continue the positive trend.

It is the first such report that InfoComm has produced specifically for the live-events market, including valuable insights on the business activity, market trends and dynamics, products, purchasing decisions and go-to-market drivers.
