GRAS Introduces a True Multifield 1/4" High-sensitivity Microphone

GRAS Sound & Vibration introduced a new microphone that can acquire good data in any sound field and, at 24 dB(A), has the lowest noise floor of any 1/4" measurement microphone. The new GRAS 46BC measurement microphone is a true multifield microphone for use in pressure, free-field, or random-incidence environments or any scenarios where the sound field is ill-defined or changing - ideal for automotive in-cabin and NVH testing.

Sound and vibration specialist Brüel & Kjær has released the new B&K 2245 class 1 sound level meter, providing a complete solution for basic noise measurements, while combining functionality, ease-of-use and versatility. The latest in Brüel & Kjær’s range of iconic sound level meters was designed to instill confidence in professionals whose work involves noise measurement tasks, providing the reliability associated with the brand, while offering the flexibility to work in combination with dedicated mobile apps.

NTi Audio received certification from the national metrology institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) for legally-binding measurements standards with its XL2-TA Sound Level Meter with firmware V3.11. This update also introduces several new features. NTi Audio also confirmed that the current firmware of its FX100 Audio Analyzer allows playback of audio files through the analog or digital generator output ports.

NTi Audio’s XL2-TA Sound Level Meter is the first type approved sound level meter with a certified input keypad for legal noise nuisance assessment. The combination of an XL2-TA Sound Level Meter for Noise Monitoring in combination with the external Input Keypad meets the requirements of the standard IEC 61672 with immediate marking of noise events and annoyance complaints.
