EAW Designs New MKC Series Coaxial Speakers for Installation Flexibility

Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) has announced its new MKC Series 2-Way Coaxial Loudspeakers, joining the brand's integration solutions for small and media spaces. Available in four models — MKC50, MKC60, MKC80 and MKC120 — the new speaker family delivers consistent tonality for a variety of applications, even at higher output levels. Combined with the companion UXA4401 and UXA4403 amps and accessories, the MKC series speakers are a flexible tool to help audio designers provide exceptional sound for any venue.

Following a soft presentation in March 2022, Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) will be showcasing its AC6 2-Way Full Range ADAPTive Column Loudspeaker at the 2022 NAMM and InfoComm shows. The latest addition to the brand’s renowned ADAPTive line, the AC6 has a frequency response from 65Hz to 20KHz and a max SPL of 143dB, delivering a versatile, low profile professional solution with top audio performance from a loudspeaker that blends into the installation aesthetics.

Having celebrated its 40th birthday in 2018, Eastern Acoustic Works gave itself a special birthday present, convincing EAW cofounder and former Vice President of Strategic Engineering Kenton Forsythe to rejoin the company. Under the ownership of RCF Group, Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) operates independently and continues to manufacture and assemble all built-to-order and higher-end products at its headquarters in Whitinsville, MA, USA.

Transom Capital Group acquired all brands from LOUD Technologies, Inc., including the iconic Mackie, Ampeg, EAW, and Martin Audio brands. The new company will be called LOUD Audio, LLC and be led by the executives of LOUD Technologies, ensuring continuity with product development, distribution and the supply chain but with new capital to enable growth across all brands.

Following multiple presentations at all major international trade shows, papers presented at the AES conferences, and tutorials promoted at several industry events, Powersoft is starting to reveal first practical applications for its innovative M-Force transducer, based on a patented moving magnet linear motor structure.
