Polk Audio Introduces MagniFi Mini Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer

Polk Audio introduced its new MagniFi Mini Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer at CEDIA 2016, combining Dolby Digital surround sound, Google Cast, and Bluetooth support on a new ultra-compact and very affordable home theater solution with a massive sound. The MagniFi Mini ($299) is an ultra-narrow sound bar design and includes a slim wireless subwoofer, ideal for small spaces like bedrooms and smaller living spaces, doubling as a complete wireless music system.

Following an earlier preview at IBC 2015, Minnetonka Audio announced that its new SurCode for Dolby Digital Plus Decoder and Encoder are now available for Avid AAX supported products, including ProTools and Media Composer, becoming the first company to bring Dolby Digital Plus to the Avid platform.

Audio Precision announced the availability of their new test package enabling Dolby’s MS11 Multistream Decoder compliance testing with APx Series audio analyzers. The new AP test package meets the challenge of decoding multiple broadcast audio formats in a streamlined compliance testing solution, created in cooperation with Dolby’s compliance engineering group.

German manufacturer of modular interfaces LYNX Technik AG, has announced the launch of its new DolbyE to Dolby Digital / Dolby Digital Plus Transcoder with integrated SDI frame synchronizer at IBC 2014 in Amsterdam (September 12–16). The new PDA 5280 module is part of LYNX’ Series 5000 rack series.
