Sony WI-1000XM2 Neckband Headphones Show Best In-Ear Implementation for Noise Cancellation Technology

Neckband headphones, as a category, can be expected to gradually fade away as true wireless earbuds gain battery life and comparable features. Among the new headphones announced by Sony at IFA 2019, the WF-1000XM3 true wireless earbuds with noise cancellation are a clear standout, combining the 1000X family’s renowned sound quality with Sony’s Dual Noise Sensor technology and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e. The wire-free design also offers stable Bluetooth 5 connectivity, comfortable fitting, long-lasting battery life with USB-C quick charging, and Adaptive Sound Control, with customizable touch controls and voice assistant support.

During IFA 2018, Sony expanded its audio catalog with several new top of the range products in its Signature Series. Deserving all the possible attention are the new IER-Z1R in-ear headphones and DMP-Z1 digital music player. These products harness decades of audio expertise, proudly showcasing Sony’s relentless lifetime pursuit for excellence, which they often miss. These new Signature Series products are ambitious, expensive and will certainly please a very specific crowd devoted to Hi-Res Audio and DSD file collecting.

Sony unveiled its new audio product lineup scheduled for release in 2015 at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas with a total of ten new devices, including a Hi-Res compatible top-of-the-line Walkman, headphones, wireless speakers, home theater systems, and multi-channel integrated amplifiers.

At the RMAF 2014 show in Denver, Sony introduced an expanded range of portable audio options to enjoy Hi-Res sound anywhere. This includes three new headphones – the MDR-Z7 headband type Hi-Res Headphones, MDR-1ADAC Hi-Res Headphones with Integrated DAC/Amplifier, and XBA-Z5 Hi-Res In-Ear Headphones – as well as the PHA-3 Portable Headphone DAC/ Amplifier, and several headphone cables including models engineered with Kimber Kable.
