Riedel Communications Reinforces Market Reach with ASL and DELEC Acquisitions

In the digital/IP age, the intercom market expanded also into media distribution and infrastructure. The companies who understood that strategic reach are now the dominant players. Following several other acquisitions in the intercom segment, at the IBC 2016 show, Riedel Communications announced the acquisition of ASL Intercom BV, from The Netherlands and DELEC Audio und Videotechnik, from Germany. With those acquisitions, Riedel essentially expanded its engineering resources considerably.

Stagetec, one of the largest German manufacturers of professional audio technology, and DELEC, Stagetec’s digital intercom and communication systems arm, have long partnered with Audinate to implement Dante audio over IP solutions. Recently, Stagetec published an interesting white paper comparing the uses of both technologies and explaining the best way to leverage the existing integrations.
