Focusrite Announces RedNet X2P Dante Audio Interface

The new Focusrite RedNet X2P is a compact, robust 2x2 Dante audio interface featuring two Red Evolution mic preamps, stereo line out and a stereo headphone amplifier. The RedNet X2P quickly adds I/O to any Focusrite Red or RedNet interfaces or any Audinate Dante audio-over-IP system, and power, audio and remote control are supplied using a single Ethernet cable. A local input mixer allows 'more me' monitoring control, while a control lockout ensures settings remain unchanged when used remotely.

British brand Focusrite continues to expand its range of audio interfaces and I/O solutions for all types of workflows, while the market is transitioning increasingly to Audio-over-IP (AoIP). While Focusrite is at the forefront of that conversion process with its RedNet range of Dante-based solutions, the company now introduced a new Red interface that simplifies switching from Pro Tools HD to a second DAW, effectively creating a bridge to Ethernet-based network systems.
