Sennheiser Offers BIMobject Files to Support Projects with Conferencing and Professional Audio Products

Sennheiser has joined the BIMobject content platform for architects and the building product manufacturing industry. Key products such as the Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 conferencing microphone are available as 2D and 3D objects for systems design and CAD solutions. Sennheiser’s BIM files also provide comprehensive product data, enabling architects, construction companies, and system integrators to better specify, plan, visualize and maintain Sennheiser products throughout the lifecycle of a building.

Audio Advice, a specialty audio/video retailer and consumer electronics e-commerce site that offers both design and installation services, has developed a free interactive 3D design tool that models an acoustically correct home theater system including speakers, TV or projector, and seating, for an optimal listening and viewing experience in the home. Built using complex algorithms, the patent-pending tool enables users to set their room dimensions and then answer key questions to create a full three-dimensional rendering of their room in real-time.

The latest release of COMSOL Multiphysics provides capabilities for building custom simulation applications. With LiveLink for Solidworks and the Application Builder from COMSOL it’s now possible to build applications that integrate simulation and 3D design. The software integrates highly productive model building, app design based on COMSOL models created from a Solidworks software geometry.
