The new wireless microphones from Sony Electronics are lightweight designs with updated specifications that leverage the most recent technologies - no analog XLR connectors involved. Complementing its range of cameras for videographers and video content creators, the new Sony ECM-W3 and ECM-W3S wireless microphone packages, along with the wireless streaming microphone ECM-S1, combine Bluetooth 5.3 transmission using Fraunhofer's LC3Plus codec and also offer USB-C connectivity for 24-bit/48kHz direct recording.

miniDSP Introduces Flex HT 8x8 DSP Processor with WiSA Wireless Home Theater

miniDSP announced its latest Flex HT home theater processor, a compact multichannel processor with HDMI ARC/eARC capabilities and WiSA wireless audio. The miniDSP team was able to cram a full eight channels of DSP power, with eight-channel audio input via linear PCM over USB Audio or HDMI eARC, with an additional stereo input supported over SPDIF and TOSLINK optical. Output is available in 8 analog channels and 24-bit/48kHz fixed latency wireless for WiSA-compatible speakers.
