Compact powered speakers have always been a winning category for the Japanese company, and now Yamaha Corporation announced the new MS101-4 powered speaker, expanding its professional audio lineup. The MS101-4 is a full range, bass-reflex, powered speaker, designed to be the standard model in Yamaha's range of desktop utility powered monitors, and complemented with a rich catalog of mounting accessories, for any possible application scenario. In the best Yamaha tradition for this category, the MS101-4 promises to be a perfect choice anywhere audio monitoring is needed.

The new Yamaha MS101-4 powered speaker offers portability in a compact redesigned enclosure for an even lower profile, and simple but comprehensive functions for outstanding usability. Yamaha updated this high-volume product with everything that could be improved, while keeping up with simple but robust options. Starting with a new 4" driver with 1" voice coil and ferrite magnet using a reinforced pulp fibre cone, powered by an efficient Class-D 30W amplifier (20W continuous) with natural cooling (no fan), universal power supply and very low idle power consumption. Ideal for set and forget.

Compatible with both line and mic inputs, the MS101-4 offers the flexibility needed for temporary or permanent use in applications requiring simple, compact monitors. Connectivity also includes a Combo input in the front and there's a Line Out 1/4" TRS connector in the back close to the two inputs. The MS101-4 also comes with a 3/8" threaded female mounting for direct attachment to a microphone stand, and optional accessories can also be added for use in a wide range of applications. Flying and mounting hardware also include two M5 screws.

The simple, portable, and durable design offers power switch, volume, and tone control on the lower front panel, making the Yamaha MS101-4  simple and easy to operate. The sturdy metal grill offers complete protection for driver. The bass reflex port is also located on the rear surface, resulting in a more compact chassis. An AC inlet for a removable power cord also contributes to an excellent portability.
