WiiM announced that Roon Labs has certified the WiiM Amp Pro as Roon Ready, expanding even more the options already available from the integrated streaming amplifier. Now with Roon Ready integration, the Amp Pro is able to become a network player with Roon’s own streaming technology, over Ethernet or Wi-Fi. With no configuration required, the certified WiiM Amp Pro will also discover any other Roon Ready devices on the same network and work for synchronized multiroom configurations.
Designed to enable "just-add-speakers" home audio configurations, the WiiM Amp Pro combines high-performance components, advanced signal processing, and enhanced wireless connectivity. The versatile amplifier simplifies audio system setups while ensuring seamless integration with classic passive speakers, TV setups, or vintage record players.
"We consistently strive to deliver products that elevate our customers' listening experiences and the Roon Ready certification for the WiiM Amp Pro represents our commitment to constant improvement," says Lifeng Zhao, CEO of Linkplay Technology. "The Amp Pro transforms home audio and enhances sound quality and connectivity, meeting the evolving needs of music enthusiasts. With Roon Ready integration, our users gain access to a dynamic, content-rich platform, complete with high-fidelity, bit-perfect playback and an immersive method for organizing and exploring music. Roon’s powerful, multiroom and multi-user features perfectly complement the Amp Pro’s cutting-edge technology."
With Roon Ready certification, the WiiM Amp Pro will also be able to access in-depth artist content and acoustic customization from Roon Labs' services, bringing a new level of experience to users on Mac, Windows, and Linux PCs, or on Roon OS devices. Users with a Roon subscription are able to combine all their personal audio files with the millions of tracks available on TIDAL, Qobuz and KKBOX in a single unified experience.
The WiiM Amp Pro is an upgraded version of original WiiM Amp, including an improved TI TPA3255 Class-D amplifier stage, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless with two antennas, and the updated 32-bit/384kHz ES9038 Q2M ESS Sabre DAC. It also includes built-in room correction allowing users to take precise acoustic measurements of their room to create customized corrections for the connected speaker and subwoofer.
Packing 60 Watts per channel at 8 ohms, or 120 Watts per channel at 4 ohms, the new WiiM Amp Pro can power up to four speakers, providing improved audio fidelity with an additional post-filter feedback (PFFB) loop.
The WiiM Amp Pro, with Roon Ready features, is available now on Amazon for $379. Existing Amp Pro users have received an over-the-air update notification to enable Roon Ready on their devices.
