In welcoming the De Santi team, Sonus faber will close the gap in collaboration between the design, engineering, and woodworking teams to enable more innovative designs and unique customization opportunities with decreased production lead-time and increased output," the company announces.
The De Santi company was born in 1970 with the commitment of Luciano De Santi and his brothers, who opened a small carpentry workshop in the porch of their home. In its beginnings, the company manufactured handmade furniture and refined objects for home décor. In 1986, Luciano built the first Sonus faber speaker cabinets. Thanks to Luciano’s son Stefano – the current leader of the company – the company reinforced the factory staff and capabilities in order to handle high-quality and complex design projects.

The acquisition of De Santi will be effective immediately, allowing Sonus faber to continue its growth, delivering high-end, handcrafted audio equipment around the world. Following the acquisition, Stefano De Santi will be named Sonus faber’s Head of Woodworking, overseeing the department, including the current De Santi staff who will remain in their present roles, with new staff to be added to expand capacity in the coming months.
