Pylon Audio Loudspeakers Earn WiSA HT Interoperability Certification

March 3 2023, 00:35
The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) announced that another European manufacturer and Association member, Pylon Audio, has earned the WiSA HT Interoperability Certification for its Jasper line of high-end home audio loudspeakers. The Polish company is going to offer WiSA-enabled active models of its Jasper line, which includes the Jasper 25 mkII, Jasper Monitor 18 and Jasper 23. All will be available for purchase in select countries beginning March 6.

When the WiSA Association confirms a new range of products with WiSA Home Theater (HT) Interoperability Certification, it means that these products will be able to work seamlessly with other certified-products, independent of brand, creating a multichannel home-theater wireless sound system. For some reason, most of the WiSA HT Certified products are from European brands, where offering high-quality wireless audio is considered essential in modern products. Featuring up to eight channels of high resolution audio, the WiSA Home Theater Technology transmits and receives uncompressed 24-bit 48/96kHz sound over a dedicated wireless network it creates, all with no perceivable latency. WiSA also makes it easy for consumers to set up their cinema sound systems with a very simple setup.

Pylon Audio is a Polish manufacturer, established in May 2011 by a team of professionals with extensive experience designing speakers, speaker sets and related products, and working with all the major speaker transducers suppliers, from Scan-Speak to BMS and designing tiger own custom drivers. The Polish loudspeaker brand designed the Jasper line to work as a system, using Scan-Speak drivers, in an elegant curved cabinet. The Jasper line includes three models, with the Jasper 25 mkII, being the largest loudspeaker model, using a pair of Scan-Speak Revelator  7" woofers that are responsible for middle and low frequencies. The silk dome tweeter, also from Scan-Speak uses one of the lightest vibrating systems that can be found in this type of loudspeaker.

The Jasper range includes also the Jasper Monitor 18, a stand-mount model that retains an advanced and mature sound, directly evolving from the Jasper 25 mkII. The Jasper 23 is the smallest of the Jasper series and is intended for smaller rooms. The lows and mids are run by a pair of 6" Revelators, also with a silk dome tweeter.

Originally launched as passive models, the new Jasper active range integrates WiSA HT (WiSA Home Theater) technology, which allows the loudspeaker system to flawlessly connect with other components using the same technology. The Jasper 25 mkll, Jasper 23 and Jasper Monitor 18 loudspeakers were built with the precision to be both visually and audibly effective for rooms of varying sizes.

"The WiSA HT Interoperability Certification is a step in the right direction for Pylon Audio’s Jasper line as it shows our commitment to creating and distributing interoperable and remarkable products for our customers," says Mateusz Jujka, CEO of Pylon Audio. "As we continue to expand into the broad audio industry, we want to be associated with organizations like WiSA that deeply understand and value products that allow one to experience spatial sound."

WiSA HT is gaining momentum in the market with the availability of the first WiSA transmitters that are able to decode Dolby Atmos or DTS:X and support up to 7.1.4 channels, which finnaly creates a practical way for regular homes to enjoy fully immersive audio home cinema experiences. The WiSA Association currently lists 37 brands of speakers and soundbars, including names such as Acoustic Research, Bang & Olufsen, Buchardt, Dynaudio, Harman Kardon, JBL, Klipsch, Piega, Polk Audio, Syng, System Audio, or Wharfedale, together with 10 manufacturers of TVs, and 10 companies making WiSA transmitter products.

"The WiSA team is honored that Pylon Audio chose WiSA HT technology as the wireless solution for the stunning Jasper line of premium speakers," says Tony Ostrom, WiSA President. "Certifying this amazing family of beautiful speakers for WiSA HT interoperability adds them to the strong and constantly growing assortment of immersive audio products that bring excitement and realism to the home entertainment experience for people all over the world."
