Fine Sounds Americas and Pro-Ject USA announced the new MaiA DS3 and Stereo Box S3 BT integrated amplifier and receiver models from Pro-Ject Audio Systems. The two new compact models from the European manufacturer are a perfect complement to any home audio system seeking flexible solutions to enhance their listening experience. Both models have a minimalistic design, intended to be combined with both modern digital, wired, wireless and streaming sources and one of the many Pro-Ject turntables.

The MaiA DS3 Stereo Integrated Amplifier ($1599 suggested MSRP) is a compact, high-fidelity amplifier and receiver for up to (9) analog and digital audio sources. Boasting 150 watts of power per channel at 4 ohms, this dual-mono design features a built-in phono stage (MM/MC), DAC, headphone amp, Bluetooth receiver and a wide range of digital and analog for various uses. Available in a black or silver aluminum chassis, the design is sleek and rugged. Optional magnetic wooden side panels are available separately in walnut, rosenut and eucalyptus.
The Stereo Box S3 BT ($499 MSRP) is an ultra-compact stereo integrated amplifier and receiver with dual analog inputs and an aptX capable BT 5.0 audio input for connection to Bluetooth devices. The (2) pair of RCA line inputs and (2) channels of 40 watts at 4 ohms output power are packaged in a protective aluminum casing, available in both black and silver. The unit includes isolated speaker outputs as well as a stereo preamp output for driving a subwoofer or larger amplifier.

Like all Pro-Ject Audio Systems products, the new models are handcrafted in Europe and will be available in the US in limited quantities via select Authorized Pro-Ject Dealers beginning November 2022.

Pro-Ject Audio Systems was founded by one of Austria’s leading high-end audio distributors, Heinz Lichtenegger, in early 1991. A genuine music lover, Heinz challenged the common “cost-no-object” approach to analog audio equipment by manufacturing turntables, tonearms, and accessories at a reasonable price without compromising build quality or sonic performance. With his passion for high-end audio fueling a desire to take a familiar industry in a new direction, Heinz proceeded to use Pro-Ject Audio Systems as a locomotive to bring high-end gear to the masses. By adhering to that philosophy while still only using quality electronic components that deliver sound that far exceeds their stature, the engineers at Pro-Ject redefined what is possible in high-end audio and proven that great things do come in small packages.
