As Powersoft announced, the new Unica T platform signals the launch of a new touring-focused amplifier series designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding live sound applications. The first new Powersoft amplifier platform for the touring market since the launch of the T Series in 2019, the new Unica T platform expands the Italian company’s successful Unica family of amplifiers, delivering exceptional power density (up to 16K), efficiency, and reliability in a compact 1RU form factor for seamless operation in even the most challenging touring environments.

Inheriting the basic design of the Unica series, the most advanced amplifier platform in Powersoft's 28-year history, featuring next-generation, cloud-based, high power density technology, all in one easily upgradable and future-proof package, the new Unica T platform evolves with a front-panel interface tailored specifically for live applications. While amplifiers for fixed installation require remote configuration, control, and monitoring, live performance and touring applications benefit from an intuitive and immediate control experience, enabling quick and precise adjustments in high-pressure environments.
Powersoft's Unica T leverages the Unica amplifier technology that ensures reliability and future-proof performance, while adding innovative design elements that are essential on systems subjected to intensive use and transportation. These elements include a patent-pending solid fastening system for Phoenix connectors, which enhances resistance to mechanical vibrations, and improved galvanic insulation for analog inputs, mitigating infrastructure limitations and preventing accidental signal damage. Additionally, the unit’s intelligent ventilation system allows for compact rack installation while maintaining optimal thermal performance.
Designed for seamless integration and ease of use, Unica T amplifiers support a wide range of connectivity options, including configurable GPIOs and networked audio and control. Its Easy Swap functionality, enabled by an automatic USB backup system, simplifies maintenance and minimizes downtime, allowing for quick replacement without the need for complex reconfiguration.
