The Neutrik Group, with headquarters in the Principality of Liechtenstein, confirmed the acquisition of connectivity solutions company Connex Gmbh, headquartered in Oldenburg, Germany. The acquisition intends to strengthen Nuetrik's expertise in professional solutions. Connex produces and develops high-quality components for the professional event industry, including audio distribution, stage boxes, multicore systems, audio splitters, power distribution, and networking.

Connex GmbH was founded in 1990 as a small workshop for musicians' supplies, manufacturing power supplies and DI boxes in small quantities. After relocating in 1994, the company expanded its activities with the distribution of products from other brands, leading the company to relocate to Oldenburg in 2006, in order to accommodate its growing business. Gradually, the company expanded its efforts with in-house research, and automated manufacturing processes, growing also with OEM activities for renowned brand-name manufacturers.

Today, Connex manufactures portable and rack mounted solutions for the event industry, including power distribution systems, fiber optic solutions, video products, Ethernet components, splitters, patching systems, stage boxes, cabling and measuring devices. Connex adds important new product segments to the Neutrik portfolio, including power distribution and lighting systems. And the company focuses not only on standardized products, but also develops individual solutions and delivers comprehensive consulting services and support in the implementation of projects.

"We are very excited about the growth of our Group. Connex GmbH is going to enable us to expand our activities to further areas of application and to strengthen our leading position in the market," says Chad Trevithick, CEO at Neutrik Group.

Even before this acquisition, the Neutrik Group had already established itself as a market leader in connectivity solutions for AV applications with its own brands Neutrik and REAN. The company employs around 1,000 people worldwide.

Neutrik is now a company with over 40 years of experience in the manufacture of electrical and electronic interconnection products and systems, leading in the design and manufacturing of audio, coaxial, power and circular connectors. The Neutrik Group consists of strategically placed subsidiaries in the United States of America, Great Britain, France, Japan, China, Hong Kong, India and Germany. A network of exclusive distributors in more than 80 countries worldwide provides global sales, technical support and distribution.
